The Nobel Prize 2023 in Physiology or Medicine is announced on 2nd of October and is awarded to Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman for their work on mRNA modifications. This work has led to the development of mRNA vaccines, which are now widely used to protect people from COVID-19.

Ekimov for their discovery and development of quantum dots. Quantum dots are tiny nanoparticles that have unique optical properties. They are used in a variety of applications, including TVs, LED lamps, and medical imaging devices.

The Nobel Prize 2023 in Literature is awarded to Jon Fosse for his innovative plays and prose which give voice to the unsayable on 5th of October. Fosse is one of the most widely performed playwrights in the world, and his work has been translated into over 40 languages.
